For the past 20 years, Ellie has freelanced for a wide range of national and global clients from small startups to Fortune 500 companies. She began designing her first websites when she was just 12 years old, back before she knew it could become a career. She has been in love ever since – flexibility and creativity, always something new to learn, and being able to work for a variety of clients around the world from anywhere with her laptop.
She recently moved to Austin, grew up in Portland, OR and lived and worked abroad in Australia, Singapore, and Belize, as well as working remotely while traveling through different parts of Africa, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Asia. Infusing work and travel has allowed her to experience a wide variety of clients, companies, and cultures. Through working abroad, she learned first hand how best to communicate effectively across various cultures, both internally on the client side and externally with end users. She feels that these experiences have given her the opportunity to see through a wider lens and think outside the box when it comes to helping business succeed in new and growing markets. Understanding different cultures and their unique values and perspectives has enriched and influenced her ability to support her clients as they expand from a local or national level to having a more relatable and relevant international and global reach.
Ellie truly loves what she does, even if it’s just kicking around ideas, taking them for a test drive, and seeing what works. Her favorite part of being a web developer and designer is the constant discovery and finding that there are often many ways to solve a single problem. She loves being part of the Auden Digital team because we all share a goal and vision of providing high quality work that benefits our clients. She loves seeing the genuine smiles and sense of relief that comes from knowing that they hired the right team for the job. We work collectively together to help our clients’ see their vision become a reality.
Fun Fact: Ellie has a rescue pup named Tucker that her and her husband adopted when they were living in Belize. He drove for almost a week through Mexico when they moved to Austin to bring Tucker with them to their new home. Tucker is her official head office pup, and often sits next to her while she works.
